Implants

The loss of teeth changes the quality of life, compromising the aesthetics of the smile and reducing the ability of mastication.

Rehabilitation with implants is undoubtedly the procedure that best recovers esthetics and mastication ability.

The dental implant prevents the process of bone atrophy of the edentulous regions, maintains the bone structures and restores the patient’s confidence in the ability of mastication. In this process the crown is attached to the implant to the implant and the neighboring teeth remains intact.

This treatment is fast, effective and has excellent functional and aesthetic results. Without risk of tooth cavities or infiltration, the dental implant is the best solution for those seeking to regain the lost chewing capacity, embellishing the smile in a natural way.

1. Total Rehabilitation Implants / Immediate Teeth

It is now possible, on the same day, to remove unrecoverable teeth, to place implants and to leave with fixed teeth.

It is a simple and effective procedure. Usually it does not cause pain, only a slight discomfort easily tolerated.

1.1 Procedure and surgery

After a rigorous clinical observation supported by a 3D radiological examination (computerized axial tomography (CAT), models and photographic data, a treatment plan is established. For each patient a thorough and careful study is done in an attempt to find the best solution.

In surgery, dental implants are placed in pure titanium, replacing the missing teeth. It can be performed with sedation or general anesthesia.

1.2 Waiting time

It takes at least 3 months for the implant to complete the osseointegration process. During this time of healing, the patient may use temporary fixed teeth. After this period, definitive crowns fixed to the implants are placed.

1.3 Fixed Prosthesis

After the phase of osseointegration (fixation of the dental implant in the bone) and healing of the tissues, new digital scanning is made for the confection of crowns. These elements are highly aesthetic and resistant to the masticatory forces). The Fixed Solutions represent the best treatment solution: they allow an excellent masticatory function and a good aesthetic simulating the natural teeth. This type of treatment makes possible the increase of the security and self-esteem of the patients

Annual control consultations are essential for the maintenance and preservation of fixed rehabilitation.

2. Individual Implants

The placement of implants is not only for total rehabilitation. The absence of one or more teeth can be rehabilitated by the simple placement of a single implant.

Accidental causes like fractures of teeth can lead to removal of the same. However, the loss of a single tooth can lead to large changes in the oral cavity as well as in the temporo-mandibular joint making it important to replace the missing tooth.
